Trinity Laban
Trinity Laban is a community of global arts collaborators and creators. As the only UK conservatoire that combines music, musical theatre, and contemporary dance – alongside pop, classical, composition, and jazz – we are uniquely positioned to foster innovation and collaboration. Championing artistic freedom and transformation, the conservatoire is also home to a Centre for Advanced Training and Junior Music Department (Junior Trinity), complemented by a dynamic calendar of public engagement classes, nurturing creativity at every level. A global hub of collaboration, the organisation holds partnerships with institutions like Beijing Dance Academy, the University of Melbourne, and the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance.
At Trinity Laban, traditions are formed, boundaries are moved, connections are forged, and futures are made. Through innovative research, experimentation, and outreach, students are empowered to become the talent of tomorrow. Under the leadership of Principal Professor Anthony Bowne and with Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman as Honorary President since 2024, the organisation continues to reframe tradition and lead the artistic conversation. Against a backdrop of stunning architecture in the creative heart of South East London, Trinity Laban is where change happens. Over 1000 undergraduate and postgraduate students train at our World Heritage Old Royal Naval College site and Stirling Prize winning building in Deptford. Alumni reflect the conservatoire’s legacy of excellence – visionaries like Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, composer Avril Coleridge-Taylor, and choreographer Lea Anderson launched their creative journeys here.
