Leeds College of Music

Leeds College of Music (LCoM) is the largest specialist music conservatoire in the UK, providing music education to a community of over 1,900 musicians at undergraduate, postgraduate and further education level. The conservatoire also offers numerous short courses in music and creative arts for all ages, and a Saturday Music School for musicians aged 9-18.

Famous for delivering the first degree-level Jazz course in the country, LCoM now champions a variety of genres, offering degree courses in classical music, jazz, popular music, songwriting, folk music, film music, music business and music production.

Specialist facilities at LCoM include over 70 teaching and practice rooms, 7 recording studios, 3 mixing studios, 6 fully-equipped Mac Labs and two dedicated performance auditoriums, the 120-seat Recital Room and 350-seat The Venue, all of which are supported by expert technicians.

Students at the conservatoire are taught in a vibrant and creative atmosphere by staff who are not only expert tutors, but who also work as industry practitioners, entrepreneurs and artists. The conservatoire provides the highest quality education and training to help each individual student fulfil their potential and achieve a career in the modern music industry.
